Software versions
Electrisim is continuously developed as open power-system analysis software powered by
pandapower, OpenDSS, and ANDES.
Releases follow Semantic Versioning (MAJOR.MINOR.PATCH):
MINOR for new features, PATCH for fixes. The versions below are feature releases,
aligned with work in the
frontend
and
backend
repositories. The date on each card is when that release shipped.
- Grid Code Compliance (P-Q & U-Q) now selects Wind Turbine units as well as static generators; P-Q templates auto-pair the matching U-Q/Pmax envelope; U-Q template voltages are merged into the sweep so the U-Q chart is a curve
- Pandapower load flow: automatic solver fallback (drop tap/shunt controllers, more iterations, flat start, Iwamoto) with an alert when the requested controller run cannot converge
- OpenDSS snapshot load flow: same shunt characteristic table, discrete voltage control, and Line P→shunt step as pandapower; static generators / WTGs as constant-PQ (Generator Model=1)
- Line-flow shunt control is gated with DiscreteShunt under Include controller → Shunt reactor tap changer (Park Controller stays independent)
- File → New template: offshore wind farm 1 GW (rev 6); editor study modules load on demand for faster startup
- Dedicated Wind Turbine element: P(v) power curve (2.5 / 3.3 MW onshore and 15 MW offshore templates), voltage-dependent Q capability (P–U), and automatic P [MW] from wind speed in the element dialog and Component Data
- Park Controller (pandapower) for plant Q, voltage, power factor, and tan(φ); cosφ(P) Overexcited (capacitive) / Underexcited (inductive) branches; Python export of park specs and WTG Q limits
- Wind Turbine Controller (steady-state Pref from curve) and dynamic controller (averaging / gradient limiting)
- OpenDSS: DG interconnection screening, Monte Carlo load flow, and RegControl / CapControl / StorageController
- ANDES inverter-based resource / wind plant dynamics (REGCA1)
- Arc flash assessment (IEEE 1584-2018), with related study workflows and templates
- Transient stability and eigenvalue analysis path via ANDES; motor starting / voltage dip studies
